Hey guys
heading up to the
birdsville for the race but was planning on going through
Innamincka and
Cordillo Downs. The road between
Innamincka and cordillo down has been closed for a while now. Just wondering if the road is heavily damaged or its just waiting for the rain to stop and road to dry up.
The 28 day rainfall forecast suggest not much more rain, if none.
Just seeing if anyones talked to anyone up there or has been that way.
Cheers Kev

A mate of
mine came through there 2 weeks ago when it was open just before he got stuck in Innaminka for a week. It was not heavily damaged then.
Regards
Pete

Hi Kevin C,
We travelled the
cordillo downs road in 2000 towing a non off road trailer.Rocks rocks and more rocks. 6,8,& 10". It took us ages but we made it. No vehicle injuries
A tour group came in to
camp at
Birdsville many vehicles had shredded tyres!
When I suggested that they probably had driven too fast on it.....I was very unpopular.
It may have been graded since as the
shearing shed is a popular tourist place.
Take care, safe travels. Ma.

G'day KevinC, Read Thread 80514 & the S A Desert Road Conditions in this
Forum. The last posting was 5/8 regarding
Birdsville Track conditions & ferry
services. A more updated version than 10 years ago!!!
