Hi all,
Just got back from the 4x4 show in
Melbourne, if you can't make it, don't worry, you wont miss much. I felt the show was pretty average.
Show Specials are a bit light on & any saving you make is absorbed by the $15 entry.
I felt that the Wandin Show had more exhibitor's !

That was my thought when I got back from the
Sydney "international" motor show yesterday...I think a lot of suppliers are "show'd" out. The Porsche guy was asked why they were not there and he basically said that the major European shows are once every 2 years, but Australia has two (
Sydney and
Melbourne) each year and they have decided to alternate. I don't think Land Rover were there either from memory. The Ford Territory looks good (for what it is) and should give the Euro soft roaders a touch up. The Adventra (jacked up Commodore wagon) looks like a sick joke, even has the inclinometers on the dash that I thought we lost with older Pajero's

For those who were dissappointed with the National 4X4 show in
Melbourne, rest assured LROCV are working hard on next years Wandin event to make it worthwhile.
It will be on Sunday Feb 15, the website is being updated regularly so
check it out: www.victorian4wdshow.com.au
Cheers!

Hi all,
Went along last night and still found it enjoyable although very light on for four wheel drives.Toyota and Nissan were
well represented as were Holden,Ford,Suzuki,Mercedes,Kia and Jeep but very few others wanted to join the party. The camper trailers however were there in force with their displays out numbering the cars by two to one.Much of the stuff has been around for a while but a new off road van from Track Trailers (who also produce T-van)was
well worth a look. Many accessories were on display and was pleased to have saved $150 on my O.M.E
suspension package.Overall i thought it was worth the trip in.

Went to the SA show last week for 10 bucks and HAD to go to the
Melbourne show today (Cause I promised someone) for 15 bucks. Must have paid the extra 5 bucks for the roof over my head.
Wasnt that impressed with either as it was the same ol stuff that gets carted around the 4b shows, caravan shows and leisure fests. However, saying that I still do them cause you just dont know when you will fall into that bargain

After touring Tassie spent a few days in
Melbourne which happened to coincide with the 4x4 show. When enquiring about the show at information centres in the city, they knew nothing about it at all. I only managed to find out where it was by asking someone in the hotel lobby that happened to be an exhibitor.
The show was somewhat disappointing especially compared to the show over here in the west which is conducted on about 10 acres, with demonstations and even a man made track (although not that difficult) where you can take a ride in a variety of new vehicles on. Far more exhibitors aswell.
Its on in a few weeks time.
Cheers.
