Yellow waters boat ramp maybe?
Now is the only time you own
Decide now what you will,
Place faith not in tomorrow
For the clock may then be still

Yeah that is shady camp alright, I is the most amazing thing that no one has been taken as yet.

Word can not explain the things that some people do there.

So you have not been to Cahils Crossing yet ..... they stand ankle deep in the water as the tide goes in and out and the crocs are sitting about 3M away, i have had to stop the car to avoid hitting a croc as we crossed it.....
If you look closer the people are actually out of the water and the water is shallow in front of them, still bit game n silly...

Hi Joe and Grace

Yes, Cahills Crossing is amazing. Not only are the adults standing in the water as the crocs line up for the barra on the incoming tide, but the parents aren't watching as their little children are playing on the rocks that line the side of the crossing. Different families each day we were there. One man was casting his rod at the crocs and hit a few. He jagged one and it got rather upset until it did a roll and snapped his line. Abuse was flying between some of the people on the viewing platform and the fisher/crocker man. Apart from the Nile, there are said to be more crocs in the East Alligator River than any other river in the world. Some big ones too. You'd wonder how there was enough to feed them, then again a few children and mad fishermen must enhance their diet.

if you are lucky enough to fly over the river systems at low tide on a warm day the crocs are sunning themselfs ....
It looks like someone has thrown a bucket of matches out and scattered em up the river banks there are thousands of them ...
When we lived in Maningrida a freind was fishing out at the "old barge landing" and out of noware thousands of crocs, all around the same size, bout 2-3m long, started heading out the river to sea, he was amazed as there were so many and as far as he could see, went for a few hours....
Old local guy said it did happen from time to time, like a miregration of some kind

Keeping the kid between you and the water is a good idea as well!

Looks like Shady Camp. I fished there one year. Saw crocs all day. On return there was a bloke and his missus sitting in waist deep water on the ramp drinking beer.

Definitely shady camp looking from the side where the big rollers are.
The camping site is to the left.
The crocs would be chasing the mullet.
When I was there the tide did not get that high.

Someone said Yellow Waters. I don't think so , but if those clowns don't move it will be Red Waters!!
Also there are too many tree's for Shady Camp. This must be the most unshady place I have been.

100% Shady Camp,
Its from the far side opposite the camp ground. I have stood on that little steel frame on the water side of the gates. The boat ramp is over near the grey 4WD. It was a lower tide and night time when I was down there. The sound of a 5m croc dragging its @ss over the concrete causway is something you have to hear to believe. Beats anything you could ever see at a zoo, unbelieveable place. To be honest I am surprised there is only one croc in the pic, there were hundreds there when I was there last year.

Best trick I've seen was at Cahill's, local family fishing standing in 300mm water with the kid (appetiser) sitting in his stroller with the water lapping the seat, nearly in the middle of the crossing
