Dear Nissan Patrollers,
Sydney, Australia
We have recently bought a 2003 Nissan Patrol 3.0L Diesel Manual, which we will be taking on a years trip around Australia. We start our trip in October 2010, but still require a dual battery to be fitted (for an Engel Fridge and charging laptops etc), and also a cage roof rack ( we already have fitted 2 Thule Bars on the roof but require a cage also). We have had excellent advice from the ARB
Shop at Artarmon,
Sydney. I have no doubt the ARB equipment would be first class, but does any one know other 4x4 fitters in
Sydney that are competitively priced (i.e. cheaper than ARB), but still provide excellent quality products and fitting in
Sydney?
We’re also looking at getting a canvas cover for the roof rack. Does anyone have experience with retailers in
Sydney for these?
I thank you for your time and responses.
Kind regards,
Pete

The second battery holder used to be $103 from ARB but there are cheaper isolators than theirs
Try Derek on here for a good setup

I was happy with my recent dealings with Roof Rack City. The branch I used was at Miranda, but I think they have them in a few
places. They have the roof cages. I probably bought the same Thule bars that you have for my Patrol.
Our local autoelectrician did our dual battery setup a few years ago. It has been fine.

See Jason at
Total Care 4WD Seven Hills.
He can be trusted to set your car up like no other.
Only affiliation with Jason is I'm a very happy customer of 5 years standing.
Cheers Colin.
