Hi Swannie. .. i got back 2 wks ago, generally The Gibb is in the best condition I've ever seen it. The Kalumburu and Mitchel Plateau Rds are still crook but sections have been improved. One part of of the Kalumburu Rd is being worked on at the moment and seriously looks like they are going to build a motorway it's smooth as and very wide . I don't know what they are up to. It has been pretty hot up here untill now and a lot of locals are predicting an early wet the rain we have had has not been enormous in Bme but Derby did get a bit more I.ve been waiting in Broome for the Simpson to dry out but now the Tanami is closed so I am going to have to look at another Route home.
Cheers
