Thinking we will do a quick trip in next week up the
Birdsville Track, then across to
Innamincka and back down the Strez - what is the
water situation at present. Welcome thoughts. Thanks

Watch the rain coming in Friday if it so much as spits up here, good luck
Apparently it's a 5 - 6 hour trip between Cowarie and Clifton Hills which is about 80k's and make sure you have a
snorkel you'll need it. The Track is trashed.

Hello all - many thanks for all your helpful comments. Have been checking on road conditions however, have had conflicting reports from others who believe they know!!! etc. Have just made a decision, not to go - we don't want to be stranded or stuck somewhere. It was just that we had some spare time in the next week or two. Never mind, may do a quick run to Maree and see if we can get a flight over Lake Eyre. Mustn't complain as the rain is very much needed.
Hope the Simpson hasn't been damaged further!!
Thanks for all your helpful comments.
regards
