depends a bit on the size of your Evacool.Ours is 80litre and did 4 of us, beer too. I would suggest 70 ah is under doing it a lot. I could mount the batteries under the tray so standard deep cycles were ok and are a lot cheaper then sealed units. We used 2 x 120 ah and needed them to get thru 4/5 days with out any help in late summer in SA.Spend what you need too, warm beer is not good to end the day. We got meat in Mildura and were still cooking it in FNQ, 9 weeks later using a Evacool. none better.

lambo,
considering you should not discharge a battery below 50%, you will effectively have a 35ah battery, now do the maths and see if it's too small :(

How many ah does the fridge use in just 2 days ??

Double the answer and that's a realistic number
after all you really want it to run for at least 2 days.

thanks for that. the evacool is a 50 litre model. the way i use it is as a freezer only with things like meat and square 1 l milk bottles with brine in them. i then hv a baileys esky and cycle the frozen meat/bottles into the balieys to keep life's essentials cool, and as long as i start with the balieys cold (and keep it cold) and the bottles rock hard (i only use them for 24 hrs before putting them back in the freezer so they dont thaw), there are no issues. we have done this for some time, incl trips to the kimberleys and tanamai desert, and never had a problem with the n70.

Lambo, you've said:

The Century Battery NS70T specs are:
6 Months warranty
65 Amp Hour

It's not expensive and if your happy with just 65 ah and a 6 month warranty, then looks good to me :-)
