Sir Kev & Darkie
I have been getting pestered by an EO Member to test the waters for a SE QLD/South Burnett/
Darling Downs Regional Gathering.
So I am after ideas as to see who would be interested and where they would like to explore. Also I would like to know approximate dates and number of nights, ie in School Holidays or a long weekend.
Let me know your suggestions and I'll see what I can orgainse :)
Don't forget I have a gathering organised for Feb in
Chinchilla for the Melon Festival,
see here for details :)
Cheers Kev

Daz,
A few at work are going to Lake Boondoomba for a fishing weekend and have been given the following rates:
Boondooma
Camping / Cabin Weekend
Cabins - 1-2 persons $85.00 per night
Each extra adult $7 per night.
Children $6 per child.
Camping - By the
water or in the powered area.
Meal to share on Saturday night or any other suggestion.
Waterside
Camping $8 per person
Powered Site $16 per person
So there might be one place we could go to :)
Cheers Kev

Kinkuna NP just north of Woodgate Bonz great spot pretty quite, no facilities, beach driving and plenty of sea breeze.

Sounds good. After our last trip we are happy to camp out of school holidays.
Millmerran Camp Oven Festival is on again soon but cant make it. Be good if we could have a theme like that.

Missed most of the conversation, though would be interested in attending. :)
Just need some more long weekends this time of year to make it easier to take time off my busy schedule. How about a
Stanthorpe winery excursion with
camping at Girraween or Sundown NPs etc? Or a Bunyas camp...

November 20.
There are no fire allowed at Noosa, so if heat beads aren't popular we could look at Kenilworth Homestead, there are about 4 powered sites and amenities.
You can visit at the Eumundi Markets, Wineries or Cheese Factory.
Fires are allowed.

Geoff

That sounds good. Or if you want a more "4WD" type location,
Jimna State Forest park, just up the road from Land Cruser Mountain Park.

Those dates don't really suit me :)
But if someone wants to lock in a Gathering to start it off go right ahead.
I now have a few ideas on gathering locations so will put some weekend style ones up as I get a chance.
It would be good to get to know a few more members in the region :))
Cheers Kev
