I dowonloaded the Gunbarrel Trek - it is in my downloads.
I right clicked and selected OPEN. Ozi opens but no track. What step have I missed?
I must take notes this time because if I am not doing things all the time, the brain just forgets.
Thanks,
Rob

OziExplorer may be opening the last map loaded (as set in your configuration) which means that it may not show on this map even though the track file is loaded.

The easiest option to find the appropriate map is now go to Map>Blank Map (auto scale), which should show the track filling the whole blank map, then select "Find other map at this Position" (centre dot between all the arrows on the menu.

Otherwise you can go through the Track Manager (> Show Track List etc) to find the appropriate map which is helpful if selecting 1 section of a large track.....not normally required for most users i would imagine.

Hope that helps,
Andrew

Thanks EO but the ' link to an article on ExplorOz that we think might be relevant. You can see the link in the box titled 'Article Overview' beside your original question' is not the link you intended. It relates to Specials and Discounts.
Can you do it again?

Robyn,

By right clicking and using OPEN this will just open the OZI program (this is an association thing and not the correct way to open the PLT file). So regardless of how you open OZI open it and then us Load - Track From File (Multi) and select the PLT file from the PC - this will open the PLT file, use Load - Waypoints from File to open the WPT file.

Hope this helps - you will need to open a map first in Ozi to allow this to happen.

Hope you guys are well.

Thanks for coming to my rescue David!
I had left out the step of saving the download to the PC before trying to open it.
Our homeward path along the Gunbarrel is now looking good. Leave Perth on 17th.
