We have set up the caravan and settled in for a lovely visit at a relatives place in suburban
Perth, but did not empty the Thetford before we arrived.
Does anyone know of a
dump point in
Perth that is not within a caravan
park that I could use? National Website listing show only National Parks that are about 115kms away.
Or....is it safe/hygienic/etiquette to empty the contents into the relative's
toilet?? I am not comfortable with this option and would really like to drive the cassette somewhere 'proper' to empty it.
Alternatively, if I pay the closest caravan
park a visit to empty it in their
dump point - what cost might I expect to pay/donate for the service?

Hi R2D,
Don't be too concerned about using your family's
toilet if it is a standard domestic installation (ie. in a sewered locality) as it connects to the same location as many of these dump points will....they all end up in the same treament plant. :)

I found if you choose to dump in the relative
toilet then turn on and run the exhaust fan and keep the door closed. Let it run for a while after dumping. Keeping the
toilet door closed is very effective at containing the odour.
Wait until they go out for the day helps.

Dump it down their I O [ inspection opening] this is on the external of the house and should be adjacent to the
toilet it could be a screw on [vertical] or screwed down [horizontal].

Thanks everyone for your input - I'll add those websites to my favourites list for if ever I 'm stuck again during the big lap.
