Have a look at this site.Prestige Communications

I have two of the 3100, the 3200 and the 4400 in various vehicles and the quad. Good value. 3100 is a great little unit.

Cheers Mick

Mike,

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you want a good answer, take the time to ask a good question.

You need to define your needs, budget, range, expectations etc. CB means a lot of different things to a lot of people. Are you looking for just convoy communication? If so a $30 hand held will do it. Are you looking for something to save your life? This may cost thousands.

The folk on this forum are about as helpful as you will find anywhere, but give them the chance to help you.

Regards,

Jim Best.

Hi DustMike12

Have to agree with the previous comment. Your selection will depend on what you want it for, and you have to remember that an essential part of any UHF radio is the aerial. I have two UHF's in my car, and a small TX3220 as a home base, bhut it is being run fthrough a transformer with a 10 metre aerial and a signal booster.

I am extremely remote and one of the founders of the Desert Rescue and Retrieval (Great Sandy Desert). As such I have some rather good quality communication equipment backed up by a satellite phone and HF Barrett 2050 just in case.

Perhaps some description of what you intend to use the radio for, and where you intend to travel willhelp give advice as to what may be best.

Cheers
Why travel overseas, you could travel Australia your entire life, and not see it all.

Hi Dustmite12,

http://www.uhfcb.com.au/

Perhaps it would be wise to go the above web site.

CB Channels are all starting to change next year.

To my knowledge the Icom 400 Pro is one that can be re- programmed for the new channel spacing.

Check it out

Cheers

Chris
