Hi All

As I receive 4 x 4 Action Books each month also there newsletter ,I copied this information I receive this morning out of there news letter,

The power of the voters strike

Below is the Copy from 4x 4 Action Newsletter

Today is a great day for 4WDers, VSI 50 has been scrapped.

The NSW government have deferred VSI 50 to a national board - the Australian Modified Vehicle Certification Working Board.
This means that the State Government have seen the light and have scrapped VSI-50 from their agenda.

The government and Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT decided to keep 4WDers in the dark regarding discussions about VSI 50. Secret discussions behind our backs is no way to represent 4WDers.

This secrecy caused us great concern at 4WD Action and we had to ring the alarm bells. As soon as we heard about this un-Australian behaviour it became our responsibility to keep 4WDers informed as we knew this was the only way to protect our rights.

We didn’t want to work with the government and reach a compromise - we stood together with 4WD enthusiasts and voiced our disgust regarding this issue.
Common sense has prevailed.

Secret discussions that compromise our rights don’t work with the government. The only thing they listen to is the number of votes they stand to lose. That’s why the thousands of emails from angry 4WD Action readers made them reconsider.

Together we have made a stance and fought for our rights as 4WDers to own modified 4WDs.

If you sent an email to the minister and voiced your disapproval of VSI 50 - then congratulations. It’s your hard work and never give-up attitude that has stopped VSI 50 from destroying 4WDing as we now know it.

This is the result of standing up and taking action. The government now know that 4WDers have a voice and are not afraid to fight for what they believe in. This is not just the work of NSW 4WDers, it’s 4WDers from right around Australia who have fought for this win and I salute you all.

On behalf of the 4WD community, the 4WD industry and everybody here at 4WD Action I want to thank you for standing up for what is right being so proactive on this fight.

Even though we have taken a step in the right direction, the fight is not over yet. For as long as there are people who want to stop us from modifying our 4WDs or who us lock out of our Australian bush, than the fight is not over.

This is a monumental win for 4WDers.
