Hi Gary,i have a Burke & Wills top of the range model it has plenty of ventilation sections & the top of the body part unzips as to have all that section open with just the midgee net over you.If you googl you can find out more & it is also comfortable to sleep in.
If you are in the greater Bris. area i am selling
mine as i am no longer travelling & it is in really good nick. They are about $500 new.

I just bought a new
Southern Cross Dome Swag after selling my
Southern Cross Enclosed Swag.
The
Southern Cross stuff is top of the line made in
Melbourne by a small family business.
Just a bloody good product that would beat everything else canvas wise I have seen on the Australian market.
No affiliation other than a satisfied customer.
Southern Cross Dome Swags
If you click on the swag link in the tabs at the top of the linked page above you will find their other swags displayed.

Would have to agree with
John, pretty impressive quality & functionality. The single swag also comes with a two-up capacity feature for those unexpected encounters. Good all round/versitile product! Cheers

Gary,
There are a couple of important points to consider in a swag.
1. Quality of the foam mattress. Look for one with a high density foam "egg shell" style.
This will give you a high comfort level.
2. If getting a single swag, buy the XL (extra large) size which gives extra width.
3. A hoop style swag will provide the most flexible solution.
I'm sure there are many brand name swags that provide excellent quality and comfort.
We have a pair of Down Under
Brumby XL swags that cost just under $400 each.
We have used them "stand alone" out in the open and have stayed dry in stormy conditions. When dry/hot conditions prevail, the canvas top can be folded down to allow cooler air to circulate and inimpeded star gazing with, or without the insect proof mesh screen.
We have used them as mattresses only in a tent, or as extra bedding at
home on the lounge room floor.
A good quality swag is a lifetime investment if looked after and there is no compromise on a quality made unit for extreme comfort and durability.
Bill.

We've got a Down Under
Dingo double swag. We tried it once but thought it was a bit too cosy for our liking!
Well it's comfortable and all just not much room to move in there.
I like the quality and would tend to say it would be perfect for one person, so agree that if I was shopping for a swag for myself only I'd consider an XL single or maybe even a double if space isn't an issue.
