Hello again,

ExplorOz had another big month in October with a 13.5% growth in our session stats from 214,691 reader sessions to 248,264. Just a fraction short of 1/4 million reader sessions for the month. Our stats engine reports that from this 200,000 sessions were repeat visitors and a massive 48,000 sessions were new visitors. To all of you thanks and welcome.

Additionally we were awarded another Hitwise top ten award ranking number 7 in the Recreational Vehicles category. (Hitwise reports on Australian users visiting Australian websites). We are also climbing up the Tourism ladder and at last report we were in the 40-50 top Australian tourism sites. Not bad considering most of the others are all government sites.

We will soon be sending out our latest newsletter with heaps of info for you. We have been so busy that we just have not been able to get them written.Regards
ExplorOz Team - David

Bonz just to correct one point these stats are not hits they refer to reader sessions our hits for October was over 10 million. Have a look at the stats pageand you will see the graphs.

A session refers to a series of requests from a uniquely identified client. A session starts with the first request from the client and remains active as long as the period between subsequent requests from the client does not exceed a set "time-out" period. Our default time out is 20mins. So when you visit the site and stay on reading heaps of pages and the forum etc this is only 1 session and we have had nearly 250,000 of these.Regards

Oh and sorry I was rounding to the nearest 1000 - I do have the breakdown to the excat number on the stats system but I am not reading it now.

Medal, Government funding or more advertisers any or all would be great. Please aways remeber to use our advertisers first if you can and tell any businesses you speak to about the site. This word of mouth effort is the key to our continued success.Regards

To Team Exploroz, congratulations on a great job.
Hopefully, some of the visitors can add a bit more support and become members or at least, tell your mates about the site.

Good work David and Michelle, you have done well and have kept this site respectable for all, and that does help for the average person. How many wheel covers have you sent out to the nation? As we have ours on all the time we have many questions from those on the road, when we have a chance to get out and about. Congratulations!! Geoff and Jen

David & Michelle,
Great site, really enjoy the "banter" and all the info available. The monitoring of the system must take a lot of effort to keep the site respectable as mentioned, a lot of respect is shared by all the "regulars" and visitors. Great suff, where's the spell checker? Keep the shiny side up

Yes David,

I am sure this site would be number one if it included a spell checker. Something for the future maybe, of course one could just read his post before dashing it off to cyberspace but we get too excited and want to reply.......must be the site and the companyLaterally Literal

Congratulations David & Michelle. ExplorOz's popularity doesn't surprise me one little bit. The only thing that does surprise me is that you're not the #1 site (well you are in my book!). Keep up the good work.

David & Michelle, I haven't been around for a while (remember the great debate on support for the site?) so it is good see to the site gaining strength and recognition.

Congratualtions. Smile, you're on ExplorOz
