I am considering replacement of all tyres on my NP Pajero with Hercules Terra something A/T. I understand that they are made by Coopers!
Can anyone give me some feed back regarding the credibility of these fairly cheap tyres, $197.00 each
Many Thanks
RP

I use the Hercules 10ply AT tyres on my GU Patrol for off road work. They did 12,000km on oru
Cape York trip this year without any problems. A good buy in my view.

Richard.
I've had the Hercules Terra Track M/T on now for 13 months and they are wearing quite
well no complaints concidering the price. I would have liked a little more space between the 'blocks but hey.

Hi Richard,
We have them in 10 ply. because we needed them for sharp rock travel but as for sand & corrugations they crack when you let the pressures down. Pricewise, he reckons they're great for normal road work.
They apparently come out of the same factory as some other
well known brand.
He's gone to bed and I can't remember the
well known one.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye, Ma.

We have the 10 ply version in 265x75x16. No
sign of cracking after the Cape and Fraser when we had the pressures down for sand work.

Hi Peter,
As the saying goes "type once, read twice". It should have read can crack when heavily loaded.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye Ma.

Hi Richard
I put Hercules Terra tracs on my landcruiser ute from brand new. I have got 70,000km from them with about another estimate 10,000 to go when I took them off and put them onto my off road trailer. They are still going strong.
Places I went include
Shark Bay - (
Steep Point) in WA - a very arduous track of 120km that takes 5hrs to do. Fully loaded with 1000kg camper and towing a boat.
You will see my profile picture with the tyres on out the back of
Meekatharra in
the desert.
These tyres where best on road and on beaches. 2 ply sidewalls so the handled like radials and when deflated on
the beach rode like big balloons.
If you where to go rocky/mud then the Hercules Mud terrain with 3 ply sidewalls would be the go.
I give them my tick of approval and I have bought some more.
Cheers
David

They aren't made by coopers, but click on my link in the other thread and you'll see the connection between the two companies. I'm on my second set of m.t. 's at present. They are definitely fit for purpose, though sometimes need more care to balance than some.
