We are in the planning stages of a Sandy Bight/Gary Junction Hwy/CSR/Gunbarrel Hwy trip for next July (ish) so this info really helps bring a lot of the details together for us.

Why permits anyway? I can understand the Woomera Rocket Range and Maralinga but why other places? Our early explorers didn't have to have permits, although some didn't survive. I thought we were all Australians' although I'm a Pom and had equal rights but it appears that some are more equal than others
