Hi all,
I have discovered the pivot bolt on the alternater is missing, must have worked loose after some one has forgotten to tighten it and fallen out. My alternater is running skew iff and need to source the bolt, anybody know the size and where I could source another one I am in
Sydney. The vehicle is a 92 80 series turbo diesel landcruiser.
Thanks in advance,
Warren.

I can't tell you where to get a replacement in
Sydney but the same thing happened to me (92 1HDT) but it wasn't simply missing, it had snapped off so that the thread was still in the main bracket.. might pay to get a piece of wire to stick in the hole to check that it has undone rather than snapped off also.. I simply handed
mine over to the man in the workshop and picked it up when it was done.. didn't cost too much from memory.

Warren,
Often best to get a bolt like that from a Toyota dealer. Only a few dollars probably and at least you know it will fit.
