Hi,
Northern Tableland train leaves
Sydney daily approx 9am goes to Armidale is met by buses and continues trip up to and around the Queensland border.
So you basicly buy the return ticket from
Sydney to Glenn ...train and bus it then when you are heading out you bus it and meet the train in Amidale. It is all set up to connect.
Enjoy Australia

Hi there.
Get a Boarder Coach from the Transit Centre in
Brisbane. They travel there every day.

Glen Innes isn't isolated by our standards it is on the inland highway between
Sydney and
Brisbane.
The buses (coaches) leave from
Roma St Station in the centre of
Brisbane.
Someone gave you the Greyhound/McCafferty's link above.
A direct bus service leaves daily from
Roma St station, it will be about a 6 hour journey depending on meal stops. It takes about 4.5 hours to do it directly by car.
Catch the train (about $24) from the airport to the centre of
Brisbane, I am uncertain if the train goes to
Roma Station, if not it goes very close to it. It is the simpliest, easiest and most fool proof way in if you have never been there before.

Yep, you can catch the Airtrain (airport train) to
Roma Street no worries. Then go to the bus part of the transit centre to catch your Greyhound to Glen Innes. Happy dancing!

if you catch a bus, make sure you book the direct bus trip. i noticed they had an option that goes through
Toowoomba, which is out of the way and cost you extra and will take longer to get where you want to get to.

Jeez...u guys are as fanatastic...thanks for all this...i didn't realize Glen Innes wasnt' an "outpost" and delighted i can just take a bus....i'm lookin forward to seeing the sites..except i think it travels in the pm...so if anyone wants to come to the festival as my guest...and wanna travel there with me...I'd be happy to get you passes and come as guest....thanks for all the assistance...
The festival is celebrating "the year of the Irish" and i'm performing with some champion irish and scottish dancers....if your're interested in coming along I"d be happy to cover your costs...but of course the bus's seems like it'd work too...
Got people coming to collect me , if need be, but enjoy the travelling around on my own too....will have enough people around me when I start performing for the 4 day festival....
Will be in
Perth after that, flying from Syd to teach at a performng arts school. Anybody who wants to learn Irish dancing....now's ur chance...;) Shawn
