Any one recommend a brand or model of inflatable boat? Intended use would be to paddle around on lake or estuary when camping with kids to add to the fun. Our set up does not have room for a tinnie or kayak. Not looking for anything to go whitewater or out to sea on!! Thanks

We bought a simple light duty Sevylor inflatable for much the same reason as you. It needs to be treated carefully but did the job. The more robust ones were much more expensive.

We have a 360m and use it for river fishing. You can get an extra tough skin to go over the bottom and up the sides.
Well worth it. Only weakness is the oar set up. The oarlock tends to come out, and also get an extra oar as they can come apart just when you need it.

Same here: a Sevylor canoe. Made of PVC so it can be punctured by sharp rocks etc. Waterproof fabric tape is a quick fix, pending a patch and glue.
Had
mine for years.

We have a Sevylor although we haven't used it much. It has I think 5 separate buoyancy compartments. Takes maybe 15mins to set it up including putting on the electric motor.
Have a look on eBay, not so much to buy but to see what is available and likely prices.
Cheers,
Val

Hi IdahOz,
We have a Sevylor tandem sit-on-top. It's like a big surfboard with clip-on seats which have pockets on the backs for drinks, lunch, fishing gear etc. We have had lots of fun with it and our grandkids love mucking around with it.
It is quite tough with two air chambers. It is paddled with double paddles. It is not for white water. It weighs 15kg and packs into a mesh bag roughly 75x50x20.
Have used it in rivers and lakes all over Australia.

Sorry about that. Clicked twice, EO isn't behaving after being down for a while.

if you what a long lasting strong Inflatable then the Achilles brand is the top model made from hypalon material most (92%) of surf clubs craft are Achilles most pro rafters use Achilles but be aware that a model with a fitted transom will not be much good in white water & a strap on transom model will not be much chop in flat water or bays etc so pick wisely, do your
home work & don,t be fooled by sales talk
when it comes to inflatables if you buy
well (it wont be cheap) & you will have it for years & years with no problem (i still use a Avon & Achilles that i purchased in 1982) one has lived half it life outside & both have been used 100s of times including 8 trips down the
Franklin)
good luck
Vince
