Hi
We are going to the Sydney Easter Show and need advice for a caravan park that is reasonable close to Olympic Park (Homebush) or at least close to a train station on a line that goes that way???

We stayed at Lane Cove which was easy to get to town from.

Dont know Sydney very well so it may not suit.

Nice friendly park but under the flight path which we got used to in the 10 days we were there.

Another positive plug for Lane Cove - in the middle of a national park, good pubic transport nearby, great clean facilities, lots of wildlife, hardly noticed the planes.
A very good place to stay only 12km from the city centre.
Cheers

go for Lane Cove national park its very handy to Ryde road and public transport right to the door of the Easter show. Might be a good idea to book early though being Easter and not many caravan parks in Sydney.
Keep away from caravan park at Ramsgate/ Brighton I won't mention their name but they have a bad reputation.

You can't go past the Lane Cove Park as the special events bus goes direct to Homebush from the end of the street and bypasses the cost and time associated with trying to park. Stayed here 3 years in a row great park.

Would agree Lane Cove is a good choice and close to transport ,You might also try Lakeside Caravan park at Narrabeen , transport to Easter show passes on the main road 100 metres away from entry, but whichever 1 you choose , get in early.

Forgot to add Lakeside is between lake & beach, so if you fish, another reason to consider.

It's a long bus ride to get to the trains from there.

G'day , This one is pretty good in Dural & if you check the events calendar it says Easter Show Bus from front gate.. Also if you were to drive it would be 20-30min away ..

Lane Cove may be booked out. The CP at Emu Plains is beside the railway line. There may be less changes of trains using this one.
