hey guys, i realize its too wet at the moment, but later on i was thinking about driving up the diamantina river road from
bedourie end, staying at old cork then across to middleton. Has anyone done this trip? Just wondering what roads, scenery, etc was like

We visited Old Cork in July last year on our way to Diamantina from
Winton (via
Lark Quarry). Roads in and around Old COrk were generally good, and it looked like a good place to spend a couple of days by the river/water.
Cheers, The Landy

G’day, We came in from
Boulia. I’ve heard people say how disappointed they were in the
Diamantina National Park…. Complaining about the lack of facilities. I loved it!!! Talk about diverse. Good fishing too. I’ve attached a photo I ran from the car to take… a view from
our camp at Hunter’s
Gorge (river in the back ground)… and a photo taken from my
camp at Old Cork. Roads were quite reasonable.
Myles.
