Try Freshly Squeezed Water Co they have offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
We have a system in van and a larger system on the 3 5000gal water tanks on our rural property--very happy with results.

We just use the 10" activated charcoal cartridges under the sink (all water is filtered as it goes into the van tanks). Quite reasonably priced on eBay. About $60 for the housing and around the $12 mark for filter cartridges. We've found the trick is, when filters aren't going to be used for some time, remove them, seal them in those resealable sandwich bags and store them in the fridge. The low temps discourage mould etc. from growing. Hope this helps.

We have used the everpure filters for years without a problem.
I suspect that the filter may have been close to its use by date when you stored the van, resulting in the odour.
I would have simply changed the filter and carried on.
Our van is never stored for more than a month so this may be why we have never had this trouble.
If I were to store the van for an extended period i would simply disconnect the cartridge and empty it if it can be done.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.
