Unless you have a mate with a gearbox and the ability to do the work yourself in the shed, it's ALWAYS a better idea to sell your car and buy another.
Whatever you think the conversion would cost.
Double it.
and then some...
Try www.carpoint.com.au

Ynot
What happenned to your auto?
An auto rebuild will cost $2500+.
The conversion would probably cost a lot more.
You would lose a lot more than $2500 to sell the car with a dead g'box.

Try giving Marks Adapters a call (Melbourne I think) They have bell housings for a lot of conversions. You might even find that you could do a swap from a Terrano II. I thing 4x4 r us(something like that anyway) in Sydney have a T2 they are wreaking. A manual from a Navara diesel might also fit. I think the TD27 block is similar; they just bolted a turbo on and fiddled with the heads. But don’t quote me on that.
