Hi There
We're off to Warroora Station this
easter to
camp, really looking forward to it.
Does anyone have an tips about the best snorkling, best fishing, and any other hidden gems to be aware of.
We don't have a boat alas (i'm working on it!) but we do have a 4wd.
thanks
Hughie

North from the caretakers van towards
Coral Bay and is some fantastic beaches and bays with good snorkeling though i did not have much luck fishing Folow the tracks North but don"t go thru the fence keep close to
the beach and eventually you will come to a pristine bay just South of
Coral Bay.
Bore water is available close to
camping areas but
drinking water has to be purchased from
Coral Bay.

Hi Hughie
Warroora station is awesome. Not sure how it faired after the cyclones and bad weather of late.
Fishing is great just off
the beach, but much better from a boat further out- get friendly with another camper\boat owner and maybe shout him a few beers.
When we were there the fisheries were making their presence felt so know the limits.
Snorkelling was nice south of the caretakers van underneath the cliffs, watch for stingers. We were camped right on
the beach in September last year and the winds nearly blew us over the dune.
We did drink the
water from the
tank but thats a risk we took,
Toilet dump point and
bins made things easier and Telstra reception from top of the
hill.
The sunsets were fantastic, plenty of
camp spots etc. The main picture on the front cover of Camps 5 is actually taken at Warroora Station.
4wding north of the camps were good, some steep sandy tracks and access to
Turtle Rock, would be great fishing but you would need some serious gear to fish from there. The caretakers are very knowledgable so have a chat to them.
If you find a rear mudflap anywhere up there, pick it up and let us know- missing one!

hehe, good thinking!
Wind wise i'm hoping it will be decent, it's certainly calming down here in Gero so another month and it should be at least a bit better (famous last words!)
