Well, after 48 hrs of solid rain the place is flooded again!

Boys school flooded, closed till further notice, main street and bussinesses flooded couldn't even get through the bottlo to get a carton! Least the fire department were onto it, pumping out the water!

Access north out to Binalong Bay closed and I would bet St Marys Pass is closed as it still hasn't been repaired from the damage caused a few weeks ago!The Lower Esk River inland will be in full force.

To all those travelling / living in the area, take care and hope ya dry !

Yes we have had a bit of water, the bottle shop 100mtrs up the road is dry and open. A photo showing the view 180 degree would have shown how dry it was!!! that photo was taken at mitre 10 and about 50 mtres up the road is a BP servo which is DRY. The St Marys Pass will take months to fix and maybe it will NEVER be fixed but we need people to come here if this town to live on, otherwise we will be just a sleepy fishing village. If you bypass St Helens you have missed a great spot. I DON"T come from here but i moved down here from Brisbane 10 years ago but like MANY rural towns we need good reports not bad ones. All i ask come and see this great town do not bypass it.

My thought only

in no way was it my intention to give a bad report DBNO5 ! just telling it how it is and informing those who are interested or in the area!

I know where the photo was taken, I took it this arvo after I picked my boy up from school !
I too live here for the exact reasons you mention. The place is paradise. The last couple of weeks has been glorious weather! I've been getting great surf, catching fish, visiting waterfalls, footy season is on for the kids and enjoying fabulous sun downers with family and friends! It's been a fantastic last couple of weeks!

perhaps these pics are more to your liking!

Hi Evren,
Sorry to hear you are having a bad time with the weather again. We are so pleased the sun was shining and everything looked absolutely beautiful when we visited. Hope you are all well.
