Good morning all

We want to go to Darlington Pt CP this weekend, but comments in Badgers CP Reports are a liitle unkind. The comments are a litttle old and I am hoping someone can give me an update on this park.

For example do they still only clean the toilets every second day, and do they have ensuite sites?

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if this is any more recent but we were there a couple of years back and it was a bit basic, but a great location.

Facilities were OK but depends a bit on how you feel about things like that. There would have been a flood through there recently so worth giving them a call or perhaps the information centre at DP.

Thanks Notso

The other reports are also a few years old as well.

I think it's a girl thing with ammenity blocks. A lot of blokes seem to accept pretty basic facilities, while ladies like a higher standard.

Anyway what ever we decide I will at least get a bit of fishing done this weekend.

Oh, for those that can't get to Griffith this weekend there is export quality Shiraz on sale for $36 a dozen.

Which winery? We worked at Casellas for 2 months during the 2007 vintage.

Notso it's DeBortoli.

I was talking to a bloke that owned a well restored 1955 Flexible Clipper bus.

It was Shiraz and a white fruity wine he mentioned.

My wife and I could not believe the size of the wineries down here. They are just enormous.

There are 2 young back packers staying at our motel and they work at one of the wineries and they must start early as they were gone when I got up at 6am.

Casellas had 100, 1 million litre tanks and about 3 or 400 250,000 litre tanks when we were there.

When we left they were starting to build their first 3.7 million litre tanks. They are half buried in the ground to help support the weight.

They can crush 60 tonne of grapes in about 1 minute I think.

Bruce it worries me when someone I haven't met picks me in one.

No I haven't tried it yet, but I'm told it's very good. Would locals lie to me. LOL

I will try it tomorrow and let you know.

The axle is going to be underslung this Tuesday by Jayco here in Griffith.
It will cost $212 and includes extending the wiring if necessary and adjusting the brakes.

They have seen the problem before and the lift will be 100mm.

I'll let you know how it goes on the road after it's done.

When past there a few months ago and I think it was closed as there may have been flood damage.
