Hi all,

In 4 weeks time I would like to travel the Old Andado Track between Mt Dare and Alice Springs.
Currently the track is closed due to flooding. I know this is a question like how long is a piece of string, but is there any likely hood of the track opening before then?
I don't know if I should start planning for alternatives or if there is a chance to do the track.

Regards from Col.

Hi Colin

Best thing to do would be phone Mt Dare and ask their advice.
Ph 0886707835. Check out their website, also full of good up to date information.

Cheers Teza

Colin,

The Old Andado track is very rough but passable to Andado HS, there is a lot of water around Old Andado, so use extreme caution when navigating around via station tracks.

The road up to Alice is open despite what the NT roads website says!

Thanks for that Jeff,

I spoke to Karen this afternoon and she confirmed what you said.

I will call in for a meal and refresher in about 4 weeks and to catch up on the latest info.
