Hi, I would just like to let everyone know about an experience that happened to me just recently. I bought an 80 watt solar panel at the recent Caravan &
Camping Show in
Perth from a company called XXXXXXXX. on purchasing the panel i asked if the 5 metre lead had an Anderson plug on it, as it didn't the sales person promised me that at the end of the show one would be sent to me from their main store.
Well after sending countless Emails requesting the lead that was promised to me i heard nothing, this company would not even respond to my Emails or calls.
The reason i am writing this is to let people know that they need to be carefull when purchasing items from an eastern states company as not all companies are honest and above board. This company certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
Be afraid it could happen to you, if anyone has had a similar experience please let me know.
Note from EO Management - Company Name removed at request of Company

Nuggett - If you paid by credit card, you may be able to lodge a claim with your bank to reneg on the deal if the vendor doesn't produce the product you believe you paid for - worth checking.
Don't get mad - get even - but thanks for the 'heads up'.....
Best of luck - Phil

Nugget,
storm in a teacup.
Fit it yourself. It's a good learning curve.

The learning curve needs to be applied to the Solar Energy Store.
So, if we all sent an email to them complaining about this kind of treatment them I would suggest that a lead and Anderson plug would be in the mail shortly so what about it everybody, we don't need a current afair.
Cheers, Bruce.

The witch-hunt in Salem had nothing on this
Forum.
An anonymous poster, not even someone who's prepared to part with some money and become a Member (therefore having his details somewhere), puts up a comment denigrating a company and everyone is prepared to be judge, jury and executioner.
Nugget should crack a can of HardenUp and have a few good swigs.
Far better than some unaware company suddenly getting an avalanche of emails out of the ether.
What a joke.

Why is it that lately this
forum is becoming a place to denigrate suppliers that virtually have no right of reply?
There is a website called Not Good Enough where these type of posts would be more suitable.

The suppliers have a right of reply, they could get on here and say that no such promise was made, or say that the lead is in the mail.
Having been in business I always said that if you don't have a good reputation you have nothing. Certainly it is the most important tool a business has at its disposal and should never be taken for granted.
Nugget has put his complaint here for all to read and if someone does a search on google re the solar energy store this thread will come up as a negative for them.
If it was me I would jam that lead in the mail super quick and ask Nugget to advise everybody that he had been fairly dealt with. Mind you it should not have gotten this far. They are foolish. and the dent in their reputation is a cost far greater than the lead and the cost of postage. They should chuck in a couple of freebies to get Nugget on side.
When in business you have to go the extra yard to get a good reputation.
Case in point, Derek Bester who has a very good reputation as do many of the traders on this site. They know bad words spread faster than good words.
Cheers, Bruce

Nugget,
what does it have to do with being an "eastern States" company. We have plenty of unreliable or dishonest companies in the west.

Nugget,
If i was attending a show over here in the "EASTERN STATES" and got a bum steer as you did, I don't think I would blame the western states companies. I am from the East, and you are from the West. It should not matter what part of OZ these companies are from, but WHO they are.

Drink a cup of cement ....................... I'd send you one free but the postage would be more than the plug. There about $2.50 on eBay

Reason for the nature of my post ? I run a business in the motor trade and I think personally to name and discredit a company claiming it has ripped you off over what amounts to about $2 is a bit rich.

A small Anderson and 5m of sheathed twin core cable will cost over $20.
I wouldn't argue over $2, but I would over $20.

Nugget,
I would also physically check that you have an 80watt panel as this company has a reputation of not supplying the correct sized panels.
Do a search for the said company (they regularly change company names as
well)
and more will be revealed ;)
Cheers Kev

I see there is a website from a company Solar Energy Store. If this is the same one you speak of (appears to have a Seven Hills area phone number) than it suggests they offer a no questions asked money back guarantee. Contact via email or telephone hotline.
I don’t want to post a link in all fairness to this company just in case it isn’t the one you have an issue with. But ‘Google’ Solar Energy Store and you’ll find it...
Good luck, The Landy

Landy,
I had a quick look and saw the phone number, I dropped them an email via the online email page and will let all know if I get a response.
They may not even be the same people.
I note that they are web based, but do PayPal and credit cards, both of these have a dispute cover.

The commpany mentioned in the OP post has contacted the EO office and mentioned that they will sort out the issue with the OP when he contacts them.
They requested their name be removed from the post, which has been done.
Nugget - We suggest you contact them again
