As the topic states, how long has it been since that road was open.

But which way? There are several
routes. I am going to
Birdsville on Wednesday via the Arrabury road.
Walkers crossing is not open & the road through
Cordillo Downs has yet to see a grader. So I assume that you mean the Arrabury Road Via Nappa Merry?

I was thinking the same thing Skip.We are on the Arrabury road all the time between
Innamincka and
Birdsville turn off.

I see
the Dig Tree / Arrabury road is currently listed as closed. From the RACQ website...been checking as I am heading that way in about 1 week.

Landy , if you follow the RACQ road reports you'll never get anywhere , out this way they are anything upto a week or more out of date , as an example the roads out our way are all open but the RACQ website has warnings on all three roads into and out of town ,why ? Because our police has been on leave for the last 2 weeks ,ergo no official road report to the RACQ ,,,, your better off phoning the local council /foreman /
post office /
shop /etc than relying on the RACQ.

Hey Landy
I am heading to
Birdsville on Wednesday morning. The roads are open from Nappa Merry up to the
Birdsville development road via the Arrabuy road and in fair condition.
This is information from Santos field
services who look after most of the roads around here.

PS Hopefully the
water won't be over the
Birdsville track when I go down to
Marree on Thursday.
