Hi Stephen, are you referring to Honeymoon Bay past Kalumburu? If so, check road conditions first. It was reported that the road would not be open until 2012, but may now be sooner.

Hello Stephen m1, keep checking the road report as the road is currently closed at the Mitchell Falls turn off and may not be open this year. Having said that I noticed they had machinery working on it last week.

Tips... take trailer spare parts, the Gibb is unforgiving. One bloke last week had to abandon his boat and trailer on the side of the road south of Mt Barnett. the trailer was a twisted wreck. It had been there a week before I past it.

Hi Stephen.
We spent about 8 weeks at Honeymoon Bay each year from 2006 to 2008 inclusive (and at McGowans in 2005).
Great fishing (and fabulous sight seeing) from a tinny, but you need to know a few 'spots', like anywhere.
Few secrets revealed in this slide show from 2008.

Cheers,
Peter
