No, I'm not refering to Tina Turner !
I just drove my bew GQ 4.2TD back to
sydney from Wagga wagga where i bought it from. Man have I had my head in the sand for a long time. Its amazing how much difference a turbo can make. My old girl GQ 1989 4.2D with 600,000 kms on clock is going to geta retirement party, and my new baby..is going to get dirty real soon.
This thing only went down to 4th gear twice all the way
home form Wagga. if it was my old baby, id be in 3rd and 4th loosing power up hills, but this thing just kepk hammering...Long live turbos.

Hi Truckster,
YEs mate i have 2 at the moment. I will sell it as soon as i remove my alarm system and air horns. And after market filters. Whack them on my new one. The old girl will get a full pro detail and ill sell it. Its too good to wreck mate, not a drop of rust, and was painted 2 years ago in 2 pack. She still looks pretty good after a wash.

Hi Voxson,
Nah mate she aint a factory turbo. Its a Denco which are in Wagga wagga where i got the car from, but they have a joint in wetherill park called Percesion Torbo's too, I'm not sure if they are owned by same people or they both use this particular brand of turbo, spoke to them this afternoon to find out some more about the turbo ...always nice to be 1 step ahead i say.
I am just amazed at the increadable pulling power heading up hills. and hardly any accelerator effort, not once did the pedal come close to the floor. I am impressed.

SO your running a denco too Truckster?
Yeh when i saw that ugly 90 Degree bend at rear of turbo i freaked out. I was told today that their turbo systems only run at 7.5 max. He also told me that there is NO improvement at all between the 2.5 inch exhaust that they use and the 3" systems. I'm buggered if I know mate, its all new to me. Although I will say this, on one of the
hill climbs heading
home today, I saw an 80 series TD with caravan heading up a
hill infront of me, and i have to say hera and now, i dont think
mine could have pulled that caravan up that
hill as easily as it did. credit where credit is due for
mine.
