can't help with info. you seek but highly recommend this place for a visit, we went there last year and it was the highlight of our trip i reckon.
we headed West along Larapinta Drive towards
Hermannsburg, it was about an hour or so drive on the bitumin before we turned left off the road down an easy to miss track for
Boggy Hole. there was no
signage to be seen indicating we were at the right track, just a look at the map showing the turnoff was near a
creek (which it was, we just crossed over it) and the knowledge we were about 12 klms from
Hermannsburg which was also looking about right on the map. we guessed a few tracks to take and ended on a
well formed bigger track going past a few of the locals houses along the way before ending up in
the gorge area. once your in
the gorge area you just follow the main wheel tracks you find all the way to
Boggy Hole, and then you can continue through the
park out the other side and hook up with the Ernest Giles Hwy i think it was from memory.

Hi Stephen
Here is a Ozi Screen dump of when we did the
Finke River run, including
Boggy Hole. The actual location of Boogy Hole is S24 08 21.0840 and E132 52 02.3520

and here is a photo of the actual
water hole of Bobby Hole

Cheers

Thanks all. We did this trip ourselves back in 2006 with a friend who had waypoints but we have lost track of them and him! At the time there were no car tracks to follow and it was easy to take a wrong turn - hence my request for waypoints, which are foolproof.
We have the ExplorOz trek notes, which are very good, as always.
Cheers
Stephen

It's beautiful out there at the moment, plenty of
water, a great drive in, good
camping. Follow your nose, and take your yabbie net. Cheers.
