Next Tuesday is Census night. So where will you be? Surely some of the EO family will be in enviable locations.
For those of you on the road and wondering what you are supposed to do, there is some specific info on the
Census site.
If you are heading out bush and need to pick up a form, travellers packs are available from a range of
popular locations.
Ah, I wonder how many of us will submit our locations as lat-long?

Where ever you may be on census night, do register on the census. You can complete the form on line at an earlier or later date if out of range on census night, or use forms available from road houses and the like.
Government policies are hard to cope with for those living on the road - they are geared to the fact that we all live in bricks and mortar unless we are drunks sleeping under a
bridge.
Nomads - register your vote and make it clear you don't have a fixed
home to return to if that is the case.

Sadly in bricks and mortar at census time not in some lovely remote location in our wheeled
home away from
home.

My wife works for Census. Each person counted is worth thousands of dollars of funding per annum to go towards the community, eg Police, Hospitals, Schools, etc, etc. make sure that you are counted. If you are not counted, it is your community that is missing out.
Census are making sure that they count everyone. Even the out of the way accessible by 4WD or boat areas are covered in my wife's patch. There are also special programs for the homeless and different ethnic groups to get them counted as
well.
Census is making a big push for on-line this time around.
