Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of the best van park to stay at in
Perth. We will be down there in a few weeks. Thanks.

Hi Sandra, we stayed a week in 09 at the Woodman Point Holiday Park, just south of Freo. While not cheap it is certainly a very nice park, shady, grassy, huge
camp
kitchen & very clean modern facilities. The bus goes past the door, & is free...if you
are a senior. I'm not sure it is the best but we found it very good, if a little exy.
cheers......oldbaz.

Hi Sandra,
Karrinyup Waters Resort looks quite nice. I've only visited when my Dad has stayed there in the past. He seemed to like it. The place seems clean and roomy with a variety of accomodation.
Karrinyup Waters Resort
Cheers,
Darren

My folks stayed in Karrinyup Waters in 2006 and are currently semi-permanents there after selling their house a couple of years ago. Very nice place and the
camp kitchen is great and the lake/pond in the park has some great wildlife.

Another vote for Karrinyup Waters. We had 2 weeks there over
Easter this year.
Easy acess to beach, shopping, freeway and bus stops right outside.
Watch out for the 2 rabbits. :-))
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Sandra,
Assuming that you are from "over east" as they say in WA. So
Perth is ill served by caravan parks in the eastern states context. By that I mean there are not many. Mind you,
Sydney does not have that many either.
Karranyup certainly is the bets if you are a visitor as it is just off the main freeway north of the city. 10 minutes into the city centre or the train is just a kilometer away and that runs direct to the city centre.
From this park
the beach is just west of there on another main road as
well. It has Karranyup shopping centre just down the road (west toward
the beach). Carine Glades a few kilometers away has a fantastic walking tracks, with or without your pet.
Perth has a great train system and the city centre is a great hub. So heading further south to
Fremantle is also accessable from this caravan park.

Another vote for Karrinyup Waters resort.
Well situated and the bus stops right at the CP front
gate.
Great way to travel
Perth via bus, to train station and then the CAT bus service (is was free when I was there) around
Perth.
The CP is
well appointed and roomy.
Cheers.
Peter

Does anyone have an up to date list of all the parks in the
Perth metro area?
A lot of them seem to have turned into park
home villages.

Thanks everyone for your great input. We have decided we will probably stay at Karrinyup as it looks excellent on the web site. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
