Gday get outmore, 2005 was a while back now!
We went out that way again in 2007. The
Lake Rason Road is usually in good nick, but I don't know how much recent rain they have had, and how much mining activity is still going on there.

Dave, I have a sneaking suspicion that Stephen L was out that way within the last 18 months but he and Fiona are on the track up
Birdsville way at the moment. Also the irrepressible Equinox would be another good bet.
Have we got an "add-on" for 2012?
Cheers Mick

Mick I have to admit my query on this is purely selfish as I have just about finished a few modifications etc to the mobile Hilton I was thinking a couple of weeks shake down trip shortly just to make sure I can find my way to
places other than the top end.
I shall certainly give Mr Macall a bell he is probably buried under a mountain of photos remaniscing.
Cheers Dave

Hi guys, I went into the area just before I met up with Mick last year. (don't tell my boss I'm irrepressible)
I came from Pinjin Road, Elora
Homestead Road and PNC Baseline Road to Officer Basin then north then east to the lakes. Had a quick look at Gwynne Creek then out to
Laverton via
Rason Lake Road. All roads/tracks very good apart from a bit of confusion getting onto Elora HS Road and the right hand side track heading north to Gwynne Creek was a bit shabby.
Yes - Dave, buried under my pictures but not such a bad view :))

G'Day Dave
We were out there (
Lake Rason ) at
Easter.
The
White cliffs road was closed when we went through
but there's a haul road that run along side of it
There's a sign on the left hand side of the road pointing to
Tropicana witch is
Rason Lake road The road out to the
shack was in good condition with the usual wash outs and dust.We only went as far as the
Plumbridge Lake turn off
I should have a GPS point for the turn off if you need it

G'day Norm, were you out at the
Shack with Dags 7miller? We bumped into him between Kal and
Southern Cross on the 16 April this year.
The
Lake Rason road to the Spackman track (which is at the Eastern end of
Lake Rason and takes you through the Tropicana Exploration site and on up to the Anne Beadell Hwy) was in good shape when we went through there in April. We are heading out there again after the Australasian Safari finishes at the end of next month for a few days. Regards, Kanga.

We were at plumridge lakes a week or so ago and it was terrific with growth and
wildflowers everywhere there is running water in the creek . We came in from the east and exited to the east and down the cable haul road. The nullarbor is the best I have ever seen with native speargrass 600mm high and some of the tracks north of Forest almost overgrown. I reccomend it.
