Hello All,
A while ago there was mention of
places to buy 3G aerials for USB Telstra modems. All the Telstra shops in or around my area do not have them in stock. I am in the Blue Mtns west of
Sydney. My modem is the Bigpond Elite and is the big square shaped Sierra type modem.
My question is, do any forumites know a
shop anywhere in
Sydney that actually stocks the aerials so I can drive there and buy one?
Cheers,
Mike

Make sure you get an aerial that is 850Mhz to 890Mhz ONLY. Do not get a multi band aerial as they dont perform
well at the NextG frequency.
For aerials you need to talk to the people that make the aerials
ZCG Scaler
The Sierra Wireless and Netcomm Sierra Wireless modems are low quality cheap Canadian junk and fail to perform in medium to low signal strength or towers with any level of congestion. The Sierra Wireless and Netcomm Sierra Wireless modems fail to connect, drop out and won't hold a connection and are a failure unless you have close to full signal strength. If you want to connect in medium to low signal areas or towers with congestion you need a Maxon BP3 or BP3-EXT or ZTE modem.
