a story about it was in yesterdays sunday times paper here in w.a
there is no indication of prices but there is a website www.earthcruiser.com.au they are being built by a brisbane firm and remind me of the ockker type vehicles
and
a lot of info on the site but still no prices was anyone been lucky enough to see one at recent shows or at the brissie headquarters
they are built on the misubitshi canter cab chassis platform with modifyed suspension and wheel configurations etc
quiet a well built vehicle from what i read and 4.9ltr diesel
could be mick o's next outback choice ??? lol
has a wider track than an LC so the wheels will be running on the edge of most outback tracks except for mick o and others who makes there own when exploring this great wide land
cheers barry
ps have absolutely no connection with the company

They certainly look like a serious beast.

There's a company over here in WA that makes similar off road vehicles - go to http://www.amesz.com.au/

Hans Amesz was a pioneer of 4WD touring - he started in the mid 1970s, before going into the production side of such vehicles.
There is a lot of difference between
‘Human Being’ and ‘Being Human’.

I actually think based on pricing, which is similar depending on options that the Amesz is better value. I looked at both out of interest (not serious) for comparison after seeing some Amesz out and about.

I think the difference is that if you want to pack the Earthcruiser into a shipping container and go overseas with it then it is the ticker as they've designed it that way.

But Amesz around $200K (ish) looks okay. I've considered it this way, a decent caravan towed by a new Landcruiser or like is probably going to set you back $150K plus options...

I suspect both are good products overall....

Hi Barry
Did have a look at them from a distance at the Sydney 4x4 show.
That was about as far as i was game or afford to get LOL
Definatly a nice bit of gear.
Though high and wide didn't look much longer than a landcrusier 100s

the 4x4 canter with low range will soon be discontinued and these vehicles will virtually be a softroader without low range, EC still have access to the last of the LR vehicles so get in fast if you want one, cost is about 200k

looked at the one at the Sydney 4x4 show it was $220,000 as it was (they are now making them for the US) & all come as is no extras & do not modify to suit the customer
the suspension is all new (not std) with longer springs & travel, has a good 3 point system that holds the van on worth a look
The new canter has a smaller motor & 2 owners I know are unhappy with the small motor
hope this helps

I looked at EC but settled on an SLR Adventurer SLR Adventurer EC uses a fibreglass shell so mods are hard.
SLR will custom build to spec based on Isuzu NPS 300 4x4. We used super single wheels (from All Terrain Warriors) and suspension mods from Tuckers on the Gold Coast.
Price is 170k plus how much you want to spend on extras. All up cost was more than the Bushtracker van and tug I had but much prefer the SLR- we are travellers always on the move - not caravanners camping in one spot for any length of time.
Can go to rougher places than the Bushtracker and the Treasurer(SWMBO) is comfortable!
The dream truck for me!
