Hi all you seasoned travellers! Wondering if anyone would like to share their opiniions on Kings Creek station vrs Kings Canyon camping ground. I looked both up on Badgers Caravan site and one of them got a really bad write up. Just wondering if other people have had bad experiences too!

Hi Liz
Stayed at Kings Creek Station only 2 months ago and found it nice and relaxing
The facilities are good and clean. The price of fuel was the same at Kings Canyon
Take all the food you need as their shop there had not much left as they only get supplies once a week.It is about 30kms out of the Canyon. Not a bad place

Thanks for your quick reply. We did really want to stay here but we has read a few dodgy reports about it. Good to hear another person's point of view!

Liz,stayed at the Kings Creek Station about three months ago and found it good.We arrived late and in the dark but were shown to our camp site(own private fire place and shelter, with sink and power)by the friendly owner/assistant.The toilet block was clean with plenty of toilets and showers.Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The Kings Creek station appealed to us because of the helicopter and camel rides that were fairly resonably priced. So hopefully we'll get to experience them as well!

Liz,

I was waiting to see which site had the bad press. We stayed at Kings Canyon in August and whilst the camping area was actually quite good the ablution blocks left a fair bit to be desired. These areas need to be monitored regularly when there are high occupancy rates and it was obvious that this was not happening.

Regards,

Slim..

Hi Liz,

Kings Creek Station is definately better, Kings Canyon Resort way over priced - eg $22 for a six pack of VB cans!

Kings Creek Station has Camel rides, Helicopter rides, Quad rides, friendly employees and is only 25 kms from Kings Canyon.

I was there in Oct this year for 3 nights and loved itJust Do It!

We stayed at Kings Canyon Resort at Easter. We prefer bush camping so in a place like this its party time with the international tourists. We introduced some Germans to Australian reds.
I woke up with a bad headache and very dry mouth so just be careful with the drinking water ;-)

Thanks for your tip. I'll make sure I stick to the "bubbly" type of water!
