Does anyone out there know where to buy a Clinometer that can be fixed to a, but one that can be relied on to be close to accurate.
Look forward to your suggestions.

G'day Rat72
Do you need to read side to side angle or pitch angle?
If you only need side to side ARK RC at 24
Stanley ST Collingwood in
Melbourne have neat little battery powered digital angle gauges. 50mm x 35mm x 19.
Once set up for level as per instructions you can use them to read side lean angle. $39 You could battery wire them but regulate the volts to 3v via ic regulator.
These little beauties can be used to set up front ends by just sitting it on known machined surfaces of your front end to measure caster and camber settings. Press hold and remove to read. Just as good as the most expensive stuff at the wheel aligners.
Hope this info helps

I downloaded a free android Clinometer app onto to phone.
Seems to be fairly accurate and I use it regularly.
Gotta love the free apps.

Do you mean an "inclinometer"? The problem with most of them is that they give you a reading a few seconds after you have reached an angle.
The most up to date and accurate are the simple type you hang from the mirror.
When they have reached an extreme angle there are better things to be doing than watching a gauge.
A lot of 4wds had them fitted as standard in the 80s but they seem to have been deleted from most 4wds these days.

Ross,
The majority of those fitted in the '80's were fairly gimmicky.
A much more accurate device is the
seat of ones pants, if you're sliding off the
seat, start worrying................except in a Landrover, they could go further than most peoples nerves could take.

I agree about the gimickiness of(most) inclinometers, but Landrovers are not the only vehicle that can get into extreme angles.

I bought one off ebay years ago.
As others have said if your hanging off your seatbelt there's more on your mind then what angle you're at.
The older Pajero's had them as
well.
