I have a Landcruiser 100series diesel 1HZ motor with a DTS turbo fitted aftermarket. The outlet neck is 2 1/2 inch, will there be any benefit bolting on a 3inch exhaust system to a smaller outlet? Any recommendations for a good company in Sydney as the only ones advertising in the 4WD magazines are all in other capitals. Thanks again to all those helpful replies in my Thread 89749 with temporary loss of power- problem solved thanks to your comments.

If you are going to do an exhaust upgrade you are best doing it from the Dump Pipe down, that is Dump Pipe included. There are plenty of ready made kits available from Beaudesert and Taipan who are QLD companies but have dealers in Sydney.

You will get some good gains, especially if accompanied by a chip upgrade. Having said that if you are going to spend $2k on a 100 series you would hope the vehicle is reasonably low KM's and you intend on keeping it. 100 Series Turbo Diesels are keenly sought after as the 200 Series is not everyones cup of tea.

Terra mate, his is a 1HZ..with a bolt on turbo...no electronics, mechanical fuel pump..the 105 series with solid front axle.

The engine you are referring to as upgradeable with a chip and keenly sought is the 100 series, IFS front, with the 1HDFTE engine.
