As water restrictions are an excuse to increase the cost of water you will find that the Council will have lost out on substantial income due to the rain.
As water is not effected by the rate pegging expect a large increase soon.
Its all about money

Roughas,

We have plenty of water where we live the supply dam is 100% and the 3 weirs have plenty of water but we still have restrictions. The reason for this is because they can't keep up the supply of treated water and if everyone starts to use heaps the supply pressure drops as the mains are not big enough.

Most places suffer from this as the population keeps growing at a great rate mainly from people moving states and new jobs being created in an area or town.

Don't know about your circumstance but here we pay by the litre for water. So those who waste pay the price.

I like how they now have all these guidelines on how much water can be used in toilets.
I heard them talking on the ABC radio a few years back about the laws & how public toilets had to comply. This included shopping centres, sports stadiums & council toilets.
I reckon the joke is that now it is getting warmer up here in the north the urinals are getting putrid because we have to save water. So you take a leak & go to wash your hands, which most hygienic people prioritise. Then guess what. You get some intermittent dribble where you have to keep pressing the tap to try & perform a personal hygiene act with.

Then you walk out of the toilet & voila.
The council is watering 50 acres of grass with a 6 inch main going flat out.

Why is it so?
Because there are no state government regulation in regards to water flows in garden sprinklers. Just urinals.

Just an example of how much BS there is in some of our laws.

not sure what forecast you were looking at Axle, the one i saw this morning on the idiot box said possible rainfalls of up to 100mm and hail expected throughout NSW today, and anyone considering going for a road trip should reconsider.
sounds like you got what they predicted to me.

As long as you dont let hail build up on the roof ,there is no reason why a tent wouldnt survive a hail storm.
