Wondering if anyone can give us any info on the road from Ivanhoe to
Menindee? Is an on-road camper trailer gonna be OK?

Haven't been on that road since 2008 when it was pretty rough - mainly stony and maybe some washouts - at the western end. Since then there has been a lot of rain on it. Maybe ask the local council or phone the police at Ivanhoe for recent info.
Cheers,
Val

It will be O.K.
The shire close it 'totally' after any rain, and it's graded periodically.
Like any gravel road in this part of the world, drive to the conditions and don't go too fast. Remember, there's bugger all betweeen Ivanhoe &
Menindee, so ensure that you have enough fuel.
People look at the map & see 'Darnick', and think it's a settlement,
well it ain't. It's a
railway siding & a public hall.
If I travel to
Sydney I often go that way as in a FWD it makes little difference, and according to my calculations, it's 200 km shorter, and there's more to see.
