G'day All --- Looking to buy a RV (probably Toyota Coaster or similar from about 1990 onwards) -- must have internal shower/toilet, fridge, roll-out awning, & most other goodies --- Can anyone tell me any paricular model Coastesr to avoid and/or has anyone got one for sale (preferably in Qld)?

Around 1990/91 was when the body shape changed. The SWB had a 4 cylinder engine and the LWB had a 6 cylinder.
The older square shaped bodies had the 2H 6cylinder diesel until 1990 when the last of that shape had the much better 1HZ 6cylinder engines.
The later/current shaped bodies that were Australian delivery had the 1HZ until the mid 2000 when they scored a 4 cylinder turbo diesel. No auto till later production.
Grey imports from Japan in both early and later models were available with turbo engines and auto's in various configs.
The later model the better and keep an eye out for rust in the body.
