This could be fun... post your best photo on holiday with your dog (could be dog in the car, hanging out the window, in the trailer, on the roof, in the ute, in the tent, on
the beach, digging, sleeping), whatever you think best illustrates Holidaying with Dogs.
The winning photo needs to meet the criteria of being suitable for publication in our upcoming article on
Travelling with Dogs. That's my decision. I'm not going to get all formal about it. The person whose photo is selected will win a $25 gift voucher to spend in our
shop.
Be quick, you've only got until 3pm
Perth time Friday 24th Feb to show us your best doggy
pic. Just post it here, so we can all enjoy your photos but please be prepared to send the original photo to us by email if your photo is selected.
Good luck!

For those not sure how to post a
pic,
in the post reply box, you'll see a set of blue buttons - click the one called "Insert Image"
Here's the blue buttons I'm talking about, with the Insert Image circled.
Image Could Not Be Found
This then brings up a box giving you TWO OPTIONS for where to get the photo. The top option is for if you have your photo already stored on the internet (eg. flicker, photobucket), the second option is for if the photo is stored on your computer. Let's just say you have the photo on your computer - go to the Upload Photo option and click Browse...
Image Could Not Be Found
this will open a window on your computer where you need to select the file you want to post. Once you've selected it, the file name will appear in that box, and then you'll need to write a caption (description) then click LOAD.
All this does is put the correct code into your
forum post reply box and then you click the submit button as you would normally to finish posting a reply.
Hope that helps you.

You're right of course, and I'm sorry I had forgotten this feature of
membership. You'll need to place your photo on another website first and then link to it using the first method.
Can I just explain the reason why its a Member only feature... for you to upload your photo directly means we have to store your photos - in the
Forum that could mean a LOT of file storage as you can imagine. Unfortunately, the cost of server disk space on ExplorOz.com is so high that we cannot afford to cover the cost of this if everyone did it. In our current photo storage system, it has to be limited else we'd go broke, so ust Members only can use option 2.
In the future, we hope to offer this feature to all site users, in fact David has been working towards a new method of photo management across the whole site but it's not definate that we can make photo storage feasible but we will if we can!
So for the time being, why not try one of the websites where photo storage is available for free - photobucket, flicker are the one's I'm familiar with. I don't use them, just see them being used a lot - maybe others can assist with suggestions.
