Hi,
Can anyone reccommend a good
driver training school in WA where i can get some
driver training for my employees. They require training in driving on gravel and dirt roads under all weather conditions. Also need training in passing B Double Roadtrains on narrows gravel and dirt roads. These employees are
young and dont have the neccesary experience on gravel.
Regards
Les

Les,
Did you let your fingers do some walking?
Responsible move to do what you are doing, WHS will end controlling everything shortly. We did a course here on station some years back. Bit of 4x4 work, then most of afternoon doing emergency, and cadence braking. As instructor said, "Most peoples first emergency stop, is in an emergency."
Good luck, all best for 2004.
Hooroo...

Les,
Dare I suggest joining a club, you will get a lot of training taking day tips out with the club plus extended runs, won't cost you a fortune you get to have some fun and you meet new people, good social thing as
well. 4WD club of WA (inc) is the one I belong to check out the web site, meets every other Thursday in Mt Lawley, next meeting Jan 8th starts 20:00 hrs. There are lots of reputable trainers, a couple frequent the club.Keep the shiny side up

Hi Martyn,
Thanks for the info. Actually i have been looking at the 4WD Club of WA (Inc) and their website. Looks great! Do you think they would accept us as members even though we live about 380Km south of
Perth? Only problem i can see isd that we would not be able to attend meetings regularly but other than than that we are very interested.

Les, You could try the Road Safety Council or someone similar to get the names. What you are looking for is an advanced
driver training course not really a 4wd training course as very view would cover what you are chasing. You are to be congratulated on sending employees on such a course.....

There is a group in Balcatta that do commercial vehicle (and forklift and...) training for mines etc. Can't remeber their name but they can tailor anything for you - at least that's what they said when I did my forklift ticket with them. pages 821/822
Perth 2002 yellow pages has lots of corp. training businesses. rgds
