You are not going to believe how great the roads are compared to my wife and I coming up here in 1989 (her driving Diahatsu F55 p/up diesel from
Cairns all way to top. me taking videos and pix). We are at Loyalty Beach camping park and warm as, sunny as, tropical as, magic food as, fun as. No doubt roads will be rougher later in year. We had to in 1989 with Scotty Wales Guides to Adventure make a 44 gallon drum raft (28) wire & logs to get our 4x4's over Wenlock river.. Bridged now. Grrrrrrr!. Sun setting over ocean just there so tea time. Do the adventure guys. Folks are great.

Hi Rocky, first up love the Daihatsu F 50s, had the first F50 in
Darwin in 1981 it had an LSD and would go any where.
The Cape would have been very interesting in the F 55 only time for me up there was in 1972 whilst in the Army.

Heading up probably Sunday. Just got my new Drifta drawer as the year's travel improvement.
Current plan is to
check out Mt Mulligan,
Maytown then on to the top, stopping overnight at Charlie's
Mine at
Coen.
Reckon it will be cool inland, especially camping under tarp.
