Hi
I have just purchased a Troopy Bushcamper high top & want to install a lpg gas bottle storage box that you open from the outside of the troopy.Like the ones on the hire Bushcampers.
1-who sells these boxes.
2-are they easy to install.
I live in Sydney.
Thanks

You can buy them from most caravan type accessory suppliers.
Also plenty online, I bought most of the stuff required for my motorhome from here.

Very good to deal with and prompt shipment.
I would imagine you could install the actual box yourself but any gas plumbing has to be installed by a qualified installer who will give you gas certificate at the end of the job for the installation.
If the box is only to store the gas bottle in then you can do it all yourself.

Thanks for the info.
I had a quick look at that site you posted & couldn't find any gas bottle storage boxes.
Thanks again.

they are there under gas components, problem is that they are made for a flat side like van or motorhome, you would probably need to get a fibreglass one made to match the side of the troopy.

I've got a Troopie camper and fitted a fibreglass box 8 yrs ago. bought from CAMEC about $180 then. well worth it for peace of mind with 3kg gas bottle.

I wouldn't do it again though, because of hassle when certifying / re-registering vehicle etc. would just buy stove and disposable canisters from Big W.

Thanks for the info.
Is it still a problem with rego if you only use the box for storing the gas bottle.
