I am located in Melbourne, and am looking to purchase a Yamaha ef1000is generator. I note that 2 shops in Perth have great prices on the Honda's, but does anyone know who does good deals on the Yamaha ?

Hi glee B
i own a Yamaha genny but have not seen any for sale for some time (perhaps I have not been looking) but I have seen a number of gennys for sale that look like cloned Yamahas. These are made in China and a chap here where I live has one and he said it was very good and quite a lot cheaper than my Yamaha.
Have you considered looking in E-Bay? There was a clone Yamaha advertised new and believe it or not it had the name Mitsubishi on it

Hi Ray,

Thanks, but after looking at the various comments about the generators made in China I will stick to Yamaha. Always love to save money, but don't think it is really a good option after all I have read in the forums.

Talk to Gerald at Macfarlane Generators in Clayton. They have a good range and have been in the business for 30 odd years.

Hi Brett,

Thanks for putting me onto Macfarlanes. I spoke to them a few minutes ago, and their quote will save me heaps.
