Hi Trev
I had to send mine to Hema for a software upgrade. It was $80 for the upgrade and a new battery.
Regards
Derek

I have tried on two occasions to seek advice from Hema.....they dont seem to care about after sales service.
The route 66 maps are rubbish in quality compared to others on the market.
Won't be buying a Hema again.

Just for the record books...
Hema Navigators no longer come with Route 66 but iGO...which apparently is much better.
Cheers

Trev&Ness,
You are running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and this is incompatible with the Hema's USB port.
As Derek has indicated the only solution is to send the unit back to Hema for a USB port upgrade, (mine was actually replaced with the same model with the updated USB port already done).
As far as Route 66 street navigation is concerned, it is sub-standard when compared with all the rest on the market. Hema now has changed to iGo street navigation, but the chances are your model will not be suitable for an upgrade to th iGo application.
I love my Hema for offroad moving map display using OziExplorer.
For voice guided street navigation I use a separate Tomtom device.
Even for models running iGo, you cannot run both OziExplorer and iGo at the same time, thus a separate device for each application is more desirable.
