Heading to the Dig Treethe week after next.
Was thinking of going via the Bore Track.
Heard that it maybe closed.
Can anyone confirm or likely conditions.
I'm aware there is an access fee of around $10.00.
Thanks
Craig

Last I heard some of it was closed I think, a few weeks ago that was.

Ring Cameron Corner Store or Bollards Lagoon Station for current conditions.

Phone nos. in the Treks section on this site

Its closed at present. But I think its been closed since last year anyway.
Desert Parks Bulletin has the current information inclusing the phone number at Bollards lagoon.

Thanks guys.
Looks like it will have to be another way.
Apart from the Old Strzelecki track any other suggestions coming from south (Sydney)?
I will be going down the Old Strzelecki from Innamincka so don't particularly want to do twice.
Regards
Craig

Hi Craig,

About three weeks ago we towed our caravan through Warri Gate north of Tibooburra then took the track through Santos and Orientos Stations to the Adventure way East of Innamincka. From there we turned right and it was only a few kms to the Dig Tree road. We spent three great nights camped at the Dig Tree and loved it.
I wrote a blog on EO about our drive....pretty interesting towing the van for us, and another one about camping at the Dig tree. There are photos if you want to have a look at them.

regards,

Heather
